The Audi A6 is only available with a petrol engine. The 45TFSI
comes with a 2.0-litre petrol engine that meets BS-VI pollution
standards. The 245bhp/370Nm engine is linked to a sevenspeed S-Tronic transmission that sends power to the front
wheels.
All of the A6's engines produce a quiet driving experience,
which is precisely what you'd expect from a car of this calibre.
In reality, the 45 TfsI is one of the quietest four-cylinder
petrols on the market, outperforming the BMW 5 series and
Mercedes E class, especially around town and at highway
speeds.
The interior of the A6 is sleek, modern, and well-crafted from
high-quality materials. The seats and armrests are trimmed in
soft leather, the dash and doors have rich-looking wood and
nickel-finished metal trim, and the majority of the A6's
secondary controls—climate, drive mode, and so on—are
managed by a big touch-sensitive screen beneath the primary
infotainment display.
Although the Audi A6 has slightly less front leg room than the
BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E-Class, it's akin to stating that
one elephant species is smaller than another – the point is that
they're all massive old animals. Besides, the A6 is one of the
largest vehicles available in terms of headroom.
